Where is My Mind?

The more things change, the more things stay the same

Time is funny. You go through life, experiencing all these different life changing events, but when you meet up with high school friends, especially some whom you haven't seen in years, it's like time never changed, and we're gabbing and catching up and talking about things like always. Only this time, with alcohol:)

Friends are great. It's also nice that people's significant other's can chat it up with each other while the girls gab. One thing that Kristen noticed is that most of our sig others are a number of years older than us, who are all pretty much the same age. I mentioned this to Christian, and he said it's something girls tend to gravitate to, the older men.(Or, it could be vice versa too.) It's also interesting that our sig others have somewhat different yet complementary personalities from us (i see it as a pseudo-opposites attracting. certain differences are good, but similarities in core values, i believe, are paramount to having a relationship survive.)

Either way, it was great seeing everyone again, especially Janet and Kristen. It was also interesting to see who keeps in touch with whom; since we tend to keep in touch with different people in our class, we all get to hear about a lot more people that we nomally would. Laura drunk dialed a girl some of us hadn't really kept in touch with. It's really cute; she has a drunk dial speech and everything - can't wait till I'm the recipient of one of those. ;)
