hmm...been a while. let's see. i went to a family friend's wedding today. it was a lot of fun. i ate, i drank, i danced a little. i have this weird love-hate relationship with weddings...i love them for the sheer romanticism of the event, seeing everyone so happy (i always choke up during the processional), and getting ideas for my own wedding, but then i hate them because i think about my wedding, when it'll be, and who's gonna be the guy? and newly married couples are so cute. i love them.

the sound of fireworks from Dodger Stadium (i think) is reverberating throughout the neighborhood. boom. boom-boom.

My friends and i have been working on our amazon.com wishlists (check mine out! it's the first of the links). I think wishlists like these really give some insight into a person's character and interests. Seriously! Sometimes there are things you wouldn't expect a person to want, but seeing such items on a wishlist sheds some light as to the kind of person he or she is. In regard to my wishlist...i REALLY REALLY want the Swan Lake dvd now that i've seen it. Erin and i rented the tape last week and i thought it was really cool. It was even cooler after i went on the internet to check out reviews and further insights into the ballet. It's just so awesome on many levels. I wish i'd seen it live when it was in LA, but that was before i was really into any dance.

And summer school starts next week....the end of vacation rears its ugly head. Sigh.
