Where is My Mind?

5.16.2004

Okay, um, let's see.

My actual birthday day was pretty chill. I wanted to keep the east coast festivities on the down low, compared to the business of my west coast fun. The other IRTAs in my lab had pitched in for a little cheesecake with candles that we all devoured that afternoon, and we went out to this Indian restaurant in Adams Morgan. Good times, and then i caught the last half hour of the Friends finale. Saturday was pretty chill as well, it was pretty interesting in that i kinda sorta had two parties in one that night - first the NIH people came and we all chilled and chatted, and then they left just as Erin and her Georgetown friends came for the 2nd half.

So now that that's done, i'm on to freaking out about cicadas and the AMCAS and my personal statement. The cicadas aren't as big as i'd feared, and I haven't seen them in droves yet, but i saw a multitude of them at Christian's party last night, which kinda freaked me out. The Post's cicada webcam is rather freaky, too.

The party last night was fun until my most embarrassing moment. For the sake of not rehashing, let's just say it invovled a drunk Paul, a lap dance, peer pressure, and a "Philly cheesteak sandwich." And all i wanted to do was watch the end of the Laker game.
