damn the man.
i realized today that none of my minidisc stuff is mac-compatible. it's all windows, windows, windows. well, this makes me want to get an ipod mini faster than i'd've liked (i want one for my birthday) so i can listen to mcat audio stuff on the metro without having to buy a discman. or should i just go get a discman? nah. i think an ipod would be a nice investment. they're so cute!
work's a little frustrating right now. i'm not sure what thing i did wrong, but 2 of the 3 subjects we scanned aren't even showing visual activation, and everything's quite noisy. i've quintuple checked the regressors, timing, and everything. hopefully scanning on the regular coil on monday will help clear things up.
so my existence has become rather boring with all this mcat studying going on. there's the occassional hanging out with erin and hanging out with the irtas, but class is on happy hour day, so that's always out. (which sucks.) but i've been pretty good at getting my practice questions done, the thing is looking over what i've gotten wrong is what i haven't really been able to do extensively. i did go out to dinner with erin and her friends last night and got appropriately buzzed from a swirly margarita, and then erin and i went to a mardi gras party at georgetown. before we went to the party, however, erin and jeff were having some argument, so while they talked i tried to sober up, sitting by the stairs and looking at the sky. it got a little boring, so i tried calling people back home, and wound up talking to my cousin for a while. cecille's about to pop, artie's traveling around the world, camille's in preschool, kate's in teaching credential classes and almost ready to graduate. gosh, i miss my family.
so the party was pretty low-key. we hardly knew anyone there, erin just knew 3-4 people out of the 30 or so that came and went. i think i had 1 or 2 more drinks and just chatted with erin, and her friends sara and kyle. kyle's going to harvard for his bio phd. very impressive.
it's been pretty beautiful lately. never in my life would i be so happy to hear that the high was 58 degrees. while waiting for someone outside building 10, i sat on the benches and could FEEL the radiant energy from the sun on me. it was great.
sigh, back to the mcat questions.
