yay, finals are over and the craziest spring break ever can begin!
last night we celebrated the 1 year anniversary of pinata bashing. inah didn't want to part with spongebob, but it was too late to turn back and unstuff him of the candy that lay inside. since the first bashing our bat has sadly been trimmed down by a couple of past pinatas, namely amanda's hunk of a man that we had to stab to death on her birthday. at any rate, it was pretty hilarious this time around; spongebob kept hurting us because whenever he brushed by our hands it was really rough and cardboard-y and hard. when it was lynne's turn she would hit it from the bottom up and hit him between his legs. and then he started crapping out candy out of his ass. i took a leg off on my 2nd turn and sarah finally felled him. it was really nice getting rid of the stress i'm experiencing; granted it's a different kind of stress than last year, but i'm still stressed!
so more festivities await...i felt a little torn today because i got invited to do two different things tonight, but i decided on clubbing with flo and co. at the cnlm lecture last night, ryan and dan invited me to go drinking with them and the rest of the mcgaugh lab at dave and buster's...$2 mixed drinks after 10! oh the agony. but, i figure, i'll go to dan's party when he has it, i'll hang out with them then. tomorrow night is miss saigon! i'm way excited; i haven't seen it since i was 10 and it's one of my favorites =). saturday is snowboarding! i'm sad that everyone can't go but we'll make the most of it. then i have to fly to new york at 6am sunday morning for my mt. sinai interview. i hope flying is okay during these times...i'm going to two of the most probably threatened cities this week! after i get back from ny on monday i spend tuesday in irvine at the hospital and mcat class....and then fly out to dc later that night for the rest of the week. too bad it's not snowing there anymore. and the cherry blossoms probably won't be blooming with the horrible winter they've had =( boo.
and i have to kick up my mcat studying and excellence work....aaaah
WHY APRIL IS GOING TO SUCK:

Excellence in Research stuff - ALL in april this year! what the hell! the poster session used to be in may! plus, there's gonna be a regional NIMH-COR conference april 5 and i'm presenting one way or another....
Tours - april is hell month as the kiddies are checking out the colleges they got into, and as such i'm doing monday noon and tuesday 2pm tours. come watch me in action! and say hi!
199 Research - now that christa's back, she's gonna make us work! continuing a project that she did last year with a T maze. and who knows if ryan's gonna phenagle me into helping him with sacking this quarter either....
neurobiology lab - a really challenging lab, and the practical exam is 3rd or 4th week.
i will be entirely amazed at myself if i manage to survive next month.....
