OH what a wonderful weekend it's been! I went to Las Vegas with Flo, Steff, Janet, and Abby to celebrate flo's bday with 12 other people (17 of us total). it was in celebration of flo's birthday and also 3 of her friends who all had februrary birthdays. we left irvine around 8:30 pm friday night and arrived in vegas at 12:30, which was not bad for a 4 hour trip. we met up with the rest of the group, but i don't know if the spelling of their names are right...kee, hyuk, jean, scott, sean, adam, john, amy, emy, julie, long, and ray. we had "dinner" over at barbary coast and had prime rib...pretty nice. we then proceeded to hang out in our room (over in sahara) and drink and play 10 fingers for a really long time...
now that was a bonding experience. there's nothing like a dirty game of 10 fingers with stories. we slept really really late and woke up really really late (i.e., 2:30pm) and us girls went to Aladdin to have lunch and go makeup shopping for clubbing that night...and then we had a "pre-party" with some wine and getting ready to go clubbing (it doesn't seem like we did a lot, but we did...it just took a while to get everythign done)....so we were all gonna go clubbing at Studio 54 at MGM. The cool thing was that the valet guy got us a SUV limousine to go to the hotel from ours so we could all stay together. That was way awesome. I spent a total of $10 that night (excluding lunch and makeup) because entrance into the club was free and john bought me drinks so i didn't have to pay for them =). fun fun. the problem was that i felt a little queasy drunk because all i ate was lunch and didn't have anything for dinner (except for the pre-party wine) and i felt a little dizzy.
the club was pretty fun, i had a really good time there. our group was a great group of people.
aw, fuckin blogger. i hate losing posts!
um...the club...it was cool, they played 70s music and headed towards the 90s over time, and i danced most of the time even though i dont' think i can dance well compared to the others. afterwards, we grabbed stuff to eat because we hadn't eaten dinner, really, because of all the pre-partying. on the way home we tried walking a bit to find a cab, but it was FREEZING outside and i felt really sorry for the guys that hadn't brought their jackets....so we all went back to the hotel and hung out in the guys' room until we got noise complaints, and then moved the festivities back to our room. again, another night of sleep deprivation but we got up early and got up on time to get ready for checkout. we went to the Paris sunday champagne brunch today and i stuffed myself so much that i didn't eat any dinner until we got back to irvine. after lunch we headed to bellagio to take pictures and watch the water show, and it ended with "luck be a lady" which turned out to be a really nice way to end a wonderful weekend. none of us really wanted to leave because we were having so much fun, flo especially.
and again, another 4 hour drive back, chock full of gossip =) it was fun.
all in all, i had an excellent time! good times, good people.
