i'm in new york! and i haven't really eaten anything since 6am cali time....

so yesterday was an awesome day....although out of the 9 projected people who were gonna go snowboarding yesterday dwindled down to 3 (me, tammy, and inah), we still had a blast. snowboarding's sooooo much fun! after our lesson where i didn't learn much i went down the easy slope a few times and kept falling on my butt and hurting my head in the process from the shock of the fall. i don't know if i'm regular or goofy footed...but i do know that i prefer being on my heels instead of my toes. after i got the hang of stopping with my heels tammy and i went up the longer lift to the longer easy slope which had much much softer snow than the first one - it was like boarding on hard ice or something! by the end of the day i'd stopped falling on my butt and could manage to traverse in my weird little heels-only maneuvering. i think i should learn to try it on my toes and look normal. but it's soo much fun! i wanna do it again =) today my legs don't hurt too bad, but my arms, upper back, and shoulders hurt like mad. i need another massage =(

so, i had like, 2 hours of sleep before heading out to the airport and slept for most of the plane rides here. i had a stopover in denver to catch my flight here and it was snowy! it wasn't snowing, but there was tons of snow everywhere - it was pure whiteness, nice and fluffy. sooo close, yet so far =( i wanted to touch it. i'm at my mom's friend's apartment right now, and we're gonna go to dinner soon and check out my hotel and mt. sinai before the interview tomorrow. i'm kinda scared now, i really don't know what to expect. i read a few papers from the faculty whose labs i'm interested in, but other than that, i have no clue what they could ask.....
