mm..what an interesting day. The hospital wasn't so bad; i was on my feet most of the time and i hate how my shift cuts right in my normal lunch hours so i end up having stupidly late lunches and headaches throughout the afternoon because of the lack of food for those hours. I did end up interacting with many patients, which is nice, but the pca i was assigned to seemed to be spacing out every so often. That's what happens during those long days...
Coming back to LA it started to rain again and i didn't have my umbrella with me. Erin and i were gonna go out for coffee but the neighborhood Starbucks was closed for the night, so we ended up in Los Feliz and found ourselves at the Dresden instead. (note to self...the Psychobabble coffee shop on Vermont closes at 2am...) It was our first time there and there was a jazz trio playing Christmas and jazzy, swingy music. It was really cool, and it's a interesting atmosphere inside. One unique thing is that they have a baby grand piano there (or a grand piano, i coudln't really tell) but what was interesting is that they attached stuff to the side of the piano such that it's like a little bar or table surrounding the piano. I thought that was really neat, and it does increase seating space at a unique setting. One sad thing was that we didn't get carded at all! Do we really look 21 already?! We ended up talking for about an hour and a half, catching up with stuff that's going on in our lives. Good times.
So christmas is almost here and the house is SO undecorated....it's still a mess from when the painters painted the house and all....it's kinda sad! no lights, no tree, no crazy decorations...the living rooms' just a pile of stuff covered in a tarp. and the rain's not helping either
