ahh....so glad finals are over! things have been so crazy this week since last friday. i'm really hoping to get all a's or a-'s, but if i get a b+ in lab, i'm cool with that. i want those a's in bio and ics, though...i shoudln't get my hopes up, though...i'd just be setting myself up for disappointment come next week.
so i've been celebrating the end of finals by mad shopping for last night's gift exchange and lynne's bday celebration and mad cleaning and packing today. i just feel so relieved that this quarter's over. now it's smooth sailing till june, hopefully...just tons of applications to write and professors to contact and all that Excellence in Research stuff and the dreaded MCAT...so even though i'm on vacation, it's still an extension of what i have to do in the next few months. but at least there isn't any more sociology or ics to get in the way.
i've been thinking how cool yet strange it is that my friends and i are a bunch of dorks (in a good way!)...we don't really do much of what a typical college student may stereotypically do...like party and drink all the time. we play lots of games, and i think that's a much better way of getting to know people than just simple conversation over some alcohol. and i suppose it suits our personalities as well. i mean, i only went to my first "college" party at the end of the summer. some people may think it's lame, but i don't mind...i see it this way - i suppose i'm more mature to handle what goes on in a "college" party since i'm older than when people first attend those types of parties...and i don't go so crazy.
and as much as i'd like to stay home all throughout vacation, i can't believe i have to go back to irvine next week for hospital stuff and mcat classes....grrrr....
funny thoughts of the day: Earring Magic Ken. hahaha!
