Ah, the endless birthday is coming to a close, but on fairly good notes. i just want to say i've had a really enjoyable week and thank you to all who've made it so awesome. it's comprarable, maybe even surpasses, last year's celebration. all in all, i really appreciate all that's happened this past week:
- bio midterm went okay, except i can only say that now b/c i haven't checked my score yet.
- spiderman was good. i liked it. it had its good action moments, its funny moments, good looking guys, and an okay story. went pinata-ing afterwards with a much bigger group than before, and that was a riot. real pinatas are tough to break!
- dave & buster's wednesday night...i felt so bad that steff went to the one at the spectrum...while the rest of us were at the block. i had a good time...it really is chuck-e-cheese for adults. pool tables and food and a showroom and an arcade, all with bars. i had a chocolate martini, which tasted okay, but i'm thinking now i really like more fruit-tasting stuff. i was never really a fan of chocolate liquers anyways.
- rollerskating was a ball. it was so much fun. it took a while to get used to being more balanced compared to rollerblades or ice skates, but it was cool. it was weird seeing all these older men there doing all these rollerskating dance moves and skating so well, but amanda reminded me that this was the primo thing to do back in the day. at any rate, my highlight of the night was being able to skate backwards around the rink for one entire lap! and i even did a back crossover or two, i believe.
- today laura and i got out of lab early (yay! less time with our TA, the better) so i had time to run errands and go to the beach. i haven't been to the beach in eons. sarah made paella (yum!) and guacamole (only the best - not spicy at all) and we played our first game of Cranium. that's one good game. appeals to all parts of the brain! hehe. and today ended with live nude ppl. amusing as always.
- tomorrow poses to be a busy day with the UROP symposium going on. i know quite a few people presenting. and Quyen invited me to a concert tomorrow night, so that should be fun.
so overall, my mood this past week has been rather positive. i'm exhausted and starting to stress over schoolwork, but people wise, i'm content. at first i was apprehensive about what i'd be doing for my birthday but i just let some things go and let some things happen, and things have turned out well. i only hope i can transmit whatever positive energy i have to the people who could use it. i'm really fortunate to have such awesome friends and i'm glad they stuck by me.
anywho i am exhausted. gonna try to make up for the lack of sleep this past week.
