Hell week and a half has begun. i would like to formally announce that i am scared shiteless of physics. my other classes i'm not too worried about - i can find some sense or another in them to coherently perform decently on those finals - but physics scares me so much this quarter. Reading and looking over my notes doens't do much, naturally. but when i go to class, i have a false sense of understanding and i think i know what's going on...and then in discussions, i have an easy TA that helps us get good quiz scores, but when it comes to the big tests, everything blanks. it's horrible and ridiculous. as such, i want to be super organized this time and allot time to do everything possible to understand that damn beast. and then find time to do everything else. damn. i know i can do it somehow, it's just that other forces out there that want me to do otherwise.
other than that...weekend was okay. Honors day was a bunch of waiting and doing nothing. the only redeeming moments were the lunch (and we bio students didn't even get whatever lunch everyone else was raving about!) where i talked to 3 recruits and had decent conversations with them, even got to chat a little with Dr. Striedter and Dr. Cho, and on the way back from another session where i talked with this one guy about classes and units. i felt like i really helped clear things up for those guys, and they were really appreciative. such a nice feeling, to feel appreciated and wanted. granted, i believe, if i had the qualities of those recruits, i'd be out of the state in a flash (georgetown, there i'd be), no matter what kind of perks they'd throw at me.
so instead of heartily studying for finals or whatnot, i'm here updating this, but i probably won't update until after finals, unless i find some streak of boredom i should do something. i'm also worried about spring break. it should be fun, i know, and i don't want nasty situations to ruin a good time, but if the company's bad, it's gonna be difficult to not let all the bad vibes affect my mood. i want things to be better. i don't want to feel terrified if i see him around ring road. oddly enough, i'd much rather room with him than her even though i feel that way, but whatever. a lottery would be random enough and no one would complain. forcing people into somewhat uncomfortable situations can be a good thing....but then i think if something like that happens to me, i don't know if i'd be strong enough to see it through.
hehe, i just thought of the technique someone taught me that i should be doing - something to vent things out, but a little more privately...but school's gotten in the way i haven' t even been really able to think about it or try it out. is that good or bad? i can't really say at the moment, since things are still floating around, but i kinda like being this focused on school. it sucks, though, when i observe the others having a ball of fun and i'm stuck doing homework. times like that i'd like to be pushed out of that shell and be asked to be included in the festivities. so school awaits. i only hope i live to see the end of friday afternoon in a week and a half.
