What do we do the week before thanksgiving?
Have a halloween party!
Well, it was more of a conflict to have a party on actual halloween weekend (we'd just finished midterms, the 2nd years were about to have finals), so, better late than never. Mad props to the social chairs for an awesome time. It was held in a small airplane hangar normally used as a waiting room for people waiting to go skydiving. Good space, high ceilings. Good DJ, good drinks. I helped make the jungle juice and got properly drunk after 2-3 glasses, which took me the remainder of the night AND 4 bottles of water to kind-of sober up.
Costumes were cool. People that got my Sim costume right off the bat thought it was really cool. The others that i had to explain it to thought it was pretty neat. I did not, however, keep to Ishai's recommendation that I walk orthogonally the entire night. Not after the 1st drink! Cool costumes seen: Gogo from Kill Bill, Ghostbusters, Mario, Luigi, & Toad, a couple of Spongebobs, Open heart surgery, Avian Flu, Scooter Libby in an orange jumpsuit, jungle princesses/roman goddesses (i think). All in all, an excellent time. Danced a lot. Got home at 2am, woke up at 10 with the worst hangover headache in a loong time. Was with it enough to get tickets for the Coldplay/Fiona Apple concert online and went back to bed to try to recover. Didn't really work until i ate a lot. But yay! Coldplay AND Fiona Apple! Got good cheap tickets, upper level, center. Can't wait.
