quickie blog. i haven't fallen off the face of the earth or anything. :)
been pretty busy for the past couple of weeks. did behavioral testing and redoing stuff for my study. pat and alex (my boss and the big cheese, respectively) changed the design of my experiment a few days ago (1 week before i'm scheduled to scan!) so i'm hauling ass to get things done. FINALLY starting to get back into the groove of MCAT studying. ick. and i got to see erin and her new place, finally.
the ski/snowboarding trip was a lot of fun. by the end of the 2nd day i was able to successfully carve down a bunny slope without falling. it didn't come easy! i had about 3-4 bad falls, the kind where you land on one buttcheek and the shock rattles your head so much you get a headache. (a couple of falls were so bad my beanie flew off my head). but it's all good. i got drunk saturday night and during a game of Catchphrase, i recall one embarrassing moment: saskia was up, and she said something to the effect of "rear end," and we all shouted "butt!" and she corrects us by saying "2 words," and i shout, "buttocks!". and then i realized my folly. oops. hee. it was also super f-ing cold, but it snowed friday night so there was this nice soft fresh fluffy snow powder waiting for us the next day. good times. i want to go snowboarding again this season, hopefully i can go again sometime.
yawn. 8:45am call time tomorrow, we get a tour of the NMR center's imaging facilities. i've never seen the animal imaging facilities, so that should be pretty cool.
