wow, what a nice day!
again another night of not enough sleep. went to the la computer fair in pomona and got some more cd organizer folders, packed quite a bit, and then tammy and i headed up to LA for another hollywood bowl concert. I seem to be making the tradition of getting Roscoe's chicken and waffles to go and then eating it at the bowl, because we did that before heading up there. Tonight was a night of major hookups. First, i got free, premier parking thanks to the magic password, Fernando. When i pulled up to the security guard i said, "my parking pass is at the stop sign" just like sarah told me and like i did for the coldplay concert, and the guy said, "prove it." i got kinda scared but i mentioned Fernando's name and he let me through....then at the stop sign the workers called him up on the walkie talkie and we got to park in a ready-to-exit spot, just like at the coldplay concert. awesome. it was close enough that i'd forgotten my water bottle but was able to go back and get it. on the way back to the ticket booth we ran into fernando and we thanked him =)
next were the music center hookups. we headed over to the pool circle entrance and i asked for Seng, and i got to see him, Jimmy, and Morno at work. i don't think Morno remembers me, but ohwell. still as cute as ever. Seng and Jimmy hooked me and tammy up by letting us sit the closest we've ever been to the stage there, just above the pool circle and on the side. It was great. we even had a table to put our food on and eat. And Jimmy provided us with programs and drinks. Thanks a bunch, Jimmy! you're awesome.
The concert was really nice too...lots of familiar stuff, and stuff from one of my favorite movies, West Side Story. I keep getting the Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev music mixed up still, but it was really nice and touching and stuff hearing it again. And a ballet company danced to Prokofiev's score in a compresed version of the ballet, which was nice to watch. lots of asian ballet dancers, which i thought was neat. Mercutio was asian. he was good.
i was falling asleep on the road, so i think i'll turn in and sleep in. tomrrow's lots of moving...need to get some energy!
