Whee! Figure skating national championships! Ladies' final! What a treat to witness such awesomeness in person...granted everyone didn't skate their best (nobody in the top 6 did a triple-triple), but it was just so cool to see the skaters live and see their performances with 18,034 other people. Four minutes of a program go by really fast when watching them skate, i wish i was able to soak it in more. Another odd thing that happened was that i saw 2 teachers from IHHS there...janice and i pretty much bumped into Ms. Weber and she said Ms. Rodriguez was there too..they've been going all week, that must've been quite an experience. So yeah, Michelle Kwan skated great, just no triple-triple, and the others just didn't match it. But Sasha Cohen was pulling some drama during the warmup, i think she was trying to psyche Kwan out...first Cohen pretty much bumps into Kwan at one point, and the whole crowd went, "oooh...", and then Cohen kinda got in Kwan's way by doing a Charlotte spiral in front of her. Pretty sneaky, if you ask me. We'll never know.

My only complaints are the back pain i'm experiencing now and the exorbitant prices that encompasses the Staples Center. $4 for a king sized bag of M&Ms? $9 for a ham n' swiss sandwich and chips? $4.25 for a large, one-size only drink? $17.25 for dinner? thank goodness janice and i split the meal...$20 for a bobbing head figure of shaq? the list goes on and on...

So for now it's time to attempt catching up in my missed schoolwork...i'm really looking forward to Exhibitions tomorrow...fun filled afternoon with all the skaters!
